I am an Evangelical but ...

Many Christians – particularly converts to the faith – find themselves in Evangelicalism, which proves to be a formative and supportive environment. For many, this is the case for the whole of their lives, while others end up questioning some of the assumptions held dear within the Evangelical community. Some leave and join a different form of Christianity (or don’t), while others remain Evangelicals, BUT still have unanswered questions.

Towards a Christian Philosophy of Education

Education is frequently a political hot potato. More grammars, or all comprehensives? School standards steadily rising, or new universities offering Mickey Mouse degrees? Church schools better than average, or should all education be secular? Two nineteenth-century thinkers may help us to engage with such questions. Dr Guillaume Groen van Prinsterer was a Dutch political scholar. Miss Charlotte Mason was a Welsh-born innovator in education. What could they possibly have in common? Come and find out!
