Lost Certainties by Brian Wilson

​Brought up in the bosom of the institutional church, (his grandfather was an archbishop), Brian Wilson is now on the edge. He provides an lucid insight into their writing, building up a picture of what may have really happened in Palestine during the first century. At the same time he attempts to answer the question of where the church went wrong and where it should go from here. The book is a series of letters, responses to talks and reflections. Each short chapter provides a train of thought taken to its conclusion. A retired headmaster, he has a teacher’s fondness for systematising and making plain. Brian Wilson is also a lover of poetry and one section of the book provides an illustrated guide on how poetry can be used as a pathway to God. This is a paperback of 214 pages.
