A Day in the Fountain with Mark Oakley 2015, a 2 DVD set
Mark Oakley is Canon Chancellor of St Paul’s Cathedral. As the guest speaker at this PCN Britain conference, he not only made the case for poetry as a fine medium for the spiritual but suggested that all religious texts are in practice poetic. The worst thing you can do with a sacred text is to take it literally. In two entertaining and thought provoking talks, laced with humour and emotion, Mark explored the intertwined nature of poetry and religion. The day ended with members reciting poems discussed earlier in groups and then commenting on them. Audience response to the day was extremely positive. A photo gallery of the day is available on this website The two DVD set is edited and indexed. £1 from every purchase is donated to PCN Britain. Price includes P&P
