About Us
We generally meet monthly on a weekday evening, but we vary the night of the week so that no one with regular commitments elsewhere is excluded from attending.
We generally meet in the home of one of members and have an average attendance of around ten.
Each meeting is stand-alone and we use a variety of media and methods – books, films, podcasts and home-grown discussions – as exemplified by our first quarter meetings for 2019.
In January we shared thoughts on “spiritual elevator pitches” – trying to summarise progressive faith in the time it takes a lift to ascend a few floors.
In February one of our members will review “The Book of Joy” – conversations between the Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu – and lead a discussion on the themes of that book.
In March we plan to listen to the podcast “Cut Off From the Mainland” a recent event put on by our friends at Cairns Church in Milngavie.
