In Defence of Doubt

Australian theologian Dr Val Webb will be visiting us in April and we are co-hosting this event with the Truro Theological Society. Dr Webb will be speaking on 'In Defence of Doubt' in which she traces the development of a progressive approach to Christian theology and advocates a positive rethink of the role of doubt.

We are planning an in-house discussion exploring our hopes. dreams and imaginings about the possible future of the church - no holds barred! We aim to ask what 'church' means, what we might hope to carry with us into the as-yet- unknown future, what we might want to leave behind, and how we might prioritise time spent together in community. Tea/coffee will be available from 7.15, and there's a 'welcome on the mat' for anyone who wants to come along.
