Please note that this event was originally planned for May but has been brought forward to April. ''A bridge to Islam' will now be our topic for exploration at the May meeting. In April we intend to focus on relevant themes from three quite different books, extracting thoughts or issues which may help the group to engage with whichever aspects of the authors' writing may be of particular interest to us..... As always, everyone is welcome, whether members of PCN or not....

Dr Val Webb is the Australian author of 11 books. She holds a graduate degree in science and a PhD. in Theology. She will speak on the subject of one of her books ‘In Defence of Doubt’. In this book she defends and affirms 'doubt' as a positive necessity to credible and contemporary faith.

Australian theologian Dr Val Webb will be visiting us in April and we are co-hosting this event with the Truro Theological Society. Dr Webb will be speaking on 'In Defence of Doubt' in which she traces the development of a progressive approach to Christian theology and advocates a positive rethink of the role of doubt.
