Greta Vosper

It was apparent that not all those at the last meeting were aware of non-realism or non-theism and Gretta, a Canadian minister, discusses her beliefs in a short interview on BBC radio Oxford on September 28th 2014. Please take time to view the 8 minute clip before the meeting so that we can share our thoughts during the 40 minute zoom call.

MORALITY: Restoring the common good ?

Geoff will talk first about a book by Jonathan Sacks, formerly Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregation of the Commonwealth. He was a moral philosopher by background, a prolific author and a much-valued contributor to such programmes as BBC Radio 4's "Thought for the day". In his last book, Morality (2020) he deconstructs the rifts in contemporary society and gives an account of how we got here. Does he offer a path towards a more just future ?

Come and discuss.
