The Myth of Redemptive violence

The North Worcestershire group discussed the Living the Questions film on The Myth of Redemptive Violence during its January meeting. There were some very thought-provoking and moving sections on the DVD, not least the contribution of the Roman Catholic Nun who works with prisoners on death row.
As a result of the film and our discussions we felt that our understanding of the atonement differed from that presented in most liturgy, particularly for the Eucharist. We wondered whether there was any way in which PCN could have an influence so that there were liturgies available which gave a different understanding of the taking of bread and wine.
