Thus I cannot and will not recant, because acting against one's conscience is neither safe nor sound. God help me. Amen". That was Martin Luther at the Diet of Worms. "Luther is a drunken German. He will feel differently when he is sober." That is attributed to Pope Leo X. So what were those 95 theses all about and why did they divide Europe ?
