Wondering and Wandering

Join students and recent graduates from around the country for SCM annual gathering at Hebron Hall, Dinas Powys near Cardiff!
We’ll be spending the weekend exploring the themes of pilgrimage and prayer and looking at how we can listen to God and speak out in faith.

We’re super pleased to announce that Amanda Mukwashi, the CEO of Christian Aid, will be our headline speaker on the Saturday! She will be exploring what the themes of prayer and pilgrimage have meant to her in light of her experiences. Read more about her and our other speakers.

Workshops will fall into two streams, “I will speak” and “I will listen”. We’re really glad to have Jessica Dalton from Christian Soliarity Worldwide joining us to explore how to lobby for one of the workshops!

More details to follow, including Bible Study leader, more workshop details and how you can get involved through the AGM which will be happening on the Sunday Morning.

Cost of the ticket includes food and a bed in a shared room. There are travel bursaries of up to £50 available - please do make use of these! We’ll be asking what your travel plans are in order to join you up with others who may be travelling from your area to make it as easy as possible for as many as possible to come along.

Mother Teresa of Kolkata, Radical or Traditional ?

When Pope Francis declared her a saint, he said she would always be known as Mother, because she warmly welcomed every person as a fellow human being. She remained a strong Roman Catholic, yet when challenged about converting she said she converts each person to be a better Hindu, a better Catholic, a better Muslim, or Jain or Buddhist and so on. She touched the hearts of some atheists and agnostics and found Christ in each person she helped. So was she radical, traditional, liberal or what ?
