Remembering the SHOAH

We shall consider ways in which Jewish Theologians have interpreted the HOLOCAUST since 1945. David studied this some years ago and says it is good to see it from a Jewish perspective. He will include brief readings from literary responses by Primo Levi (among others), who was an Italian Jew, Chemist and Writer and survivor of a concentration camp. In the light of current debate about anti-Semitism this could provoke an interesting discussion.

PCN Oakham Group

On 21 January we will begin our spring 2020 program. The organising group has decided to look again at some of the LTQ (Living the Questions) series. This was the first material the group used when it was formed around 2006. At a recent planning meeting, there was a feeling that we should see some episodes again to refresh us and also so that those who have joined more recently can see how we started. we will start by looking at session 1 (and perhaps session 2 as well) which looks at taking a critical approach to scripture and the concept of living with uncertainty rather than definite answers. All are welcome.
