A Joyful Path - Children’s Church Curriculum: Year Two
A Joyful Path is a two year long course for 6 to 10 year olds, produced by our sister organisation in the United States, ProgressiveChristianity.org. This item is Year Two
Year Two is similar to Year One, in that it will have 38 lessons, full colour original artwork, a contemplative and introductory section for the teacher in each lesson, 38 original stories, feelings based activities, and tips to bring music and nature into each lesson.
Year Two is different from Year One, in that it is focused on the 8 points (US version) of Progressive Christianity, breaking them down into 3-5 lessons per point. Topics that are included are: The Teachings Of Jesus, Pluralism, Inclusion, How We Treat Others, The Search for Understanding, Peace and Social Justice, The Integrity of the Earth, Life-long Learning and Selfless Love
The full colour teachers’ handbook with 38 lessons is available as a DVD rom at £105, a downloadable PDF at £90 or as a hard copy book at £105. With the hard copy book, while stocks last, you will also receive a free picture story book of Ten Spiritual Folktales for children.
The DVD rom contains all the lessons in PDF format along with material for sending home with pupils. You can therefore use the DVD rom to share lessons and ‘send home’ artwork with other teachers by email or by printing.
If you buy the hard copy book you can also add to the DVD rom which raises the price to £183. You can further add an extra DVD rom and a children’s hymnal called Sing and Dance and Play with Joy - Inclusive Songs for Young Children. This total package would then cost you £200.
