Adrian Alker is the new Chair of PCN Britain

The Progressive Christianity Network Britain is pleased to announce the election of the Revd Canon Adrian Alker to be its new Chair, succeeding Angela Smith.
Adrian Alker was one of the founding members of PCN Britain in 2003. He was Vicar of St Marks Broomhill, Sheffield for twenty years and subsequently Director for Mission Resourcing in the Diocese of West Yorkshire and the Dales. He was made an honorary canon of Sheffield Cathedral and awarded an honorary degree by the University of Sheffield for his work in the community.
In 2008, Adrian became Director of Mission Resourcing in the Anglican Diocese of West Yorkshire and the Dales, supporting parishes to engage with contemporary issues.His book, ‘Is a Radical Church Possible?’ is due to be published in the autumn of 2015. Two other officials were elected by the trustees. Paul Onslow is the new Vice-Chair and Sandra Griffiths is the Secretary. Paul is a theology graduate working in Harrogate as an independent mortgage adviser and Sandra is a former language teacher, now a non-stipendiary minister in the URC.
