Exploring the origins of anti-Semitism, and the rise of populism and how to be mindful of how Christian words and theology could contribute to this. Articles from the Council of Christians and Jews (CCJ) magazine and the Church Times will be referenced and have been circulated to members and are available from the convenor.
We will also consider how we can find constructive ways to discuss peace and justice in Israel. As part of the preparation for this Members have been encouraged to access the www.theparentcircle.org website which is for a group that brings together Israeli and Palestinian parents bereaved because of the conflict. The linked UK group is www.familiesforum.co.uk. They seek dialogue to bring about peace and justice.
