The number of people attending Christian churches has continued to decline, whilst there has been an increase in Christians meeting in non-traditional settings and involved in social action. Concurrently, Christianity is being challenged by the growth of secularism and membership of other faith organisations. Some of my views are drawn from my chapter in Richard Tetlow’s recent book, ‘Perceptions of Christianity, from people of different faiths’.
Peter is an experienced health service manager, educator and researcher, who has worked extensively in both the state and non-state sectors in the UK and overseas. He is the Secretary & 3rd Sector Liaison Officer for Birmingham Council of Faiths.
