Christians of all varieties - radical, liberal and conservative - want to claim Bonhoeffer for their own camp. But he is difficult to fit into a box. His early writings, such as ‘The Cost of Discipleship’ and ‘Life Together’ seem more conservative than his later ‘Ethics’ and ‘Letters and Papers from Prison.’
In this session we will try to get the flavour of the ‘Letters and Papers’, written during Bonhoeffer’s imprisonment in Tegel by that Nazis from 1943-45, and published after his execution by his friend Eberhard Bethge.
