Please allow us to introduce ourselves: we’re a truly inclusive group for all people whether they define themselves as Christians or are just curious. We welcome all no matter who they are, whom they love or where they are in life’s journey. This means you can join us no matter your beliefs, gender, race, sexuality or ability.
What we do is we meet on campus every week to be together and discuss real life topics and our responses in light of the Gospel, but we also enjoy putting action back into faith by collecting food for the hungry and money for charity, as well as being a prophetic voice for change by calling out injustices both locally and globally through petitions, protests and campaigning.
Please look at our Resources tab for a flyer and our Winter programme.
Venue & Meeting Times
We meet every Tuesday at 7pm in a room at the University of Essex (Colchester campus). Please contact us for help finding the venue.
Last year (our first year) we raised £500 for charities, collected 150 items of food for the food bank, led a successful University campaign against tax evasion, and hosted the first ever conference on LGBT Christians on campus.
We’re part of the Student Christian Movement, one of Britain’s oldest Christian student groups (1889!).
