Thomas Berry has been a great gift in many people’s lives. His warmth, humour and insight have enhanced so many gatherings, and his writings will remain a remarkable legacy of a brilliant mind. Thomas Berry described himself as a geologian and cultural historian. Because of his insight and understanding, many have been inspired to adopt an Earth-based spirituality.
His major contributions to the discussion on the environment are in his books The Dream of the Earth, The Great Work, Our Way into the Future and, with Brian Swimme, The Universe Story. His latest collection of essays is Evening Thoughts: Reflecting on the Earth as Sacred Community.
Thomas Berry has been one of the leading inspirations behind “GreenSpirit”. For further information go to http://www.thomasberry.org.
