The UK visit has arisen from the making of the film ‘Beyond Forgiving’. As liberation army commander during the time of apartheid in South African Letlapa ordered retaliatory massacres on white civilians. Ginn’s daughter, a 23 year-old Cape Town university student, was killed in one of these. They have since been through a profound journey of forgiveness and working together as peacemakers. This is captured in the film. They are extraordinary people, one who has struggled in a profound way with issues around forgiveness after her daughter was killed, and the other who has such in-depth experience about the motivation of those who lead liberation struggles. Now they are touring the UK together, leading discussion and sharing their story.
