Bishop Jack Spong’s October tour cancelled

Bishop Jack Spong’s October tour cancelled

Due to his sudden illness, Christine Spong has confirmed that her husband will be unable to travel to the UK next month

Following his stroke earlier this month, Bishop Jack Spong’s planned tour of the UK next month is cancelled.  The expected news was confirmed by his wife, Christine, this afternoon.  We understand that Jack is now at a rehabilitation hospital near his home in New Jersey and there are good hopes that he will make a recovery.  Arrangements for those who hold tickets…..

Those who have tickets to Spong events in Malvern, Cardiff or Maidenhead can receive a refund or else swap their ticket for one to a Brian McLaren Tour venue earlier in October*.

If you paid for your Spong ticket online through this website you will shortly receive an email offering you this choice.

If you paid for your ticket by cheque, you should be hearing from the organiser of your Spong venue or you can contact them yourself.  You can find the organiser’s name by clicking on the venue link above, which will take you to a page with the organiser’s name, phone number and email address.  (If unsure how you paid you can email info@pcnbritain.org.uk to ask).

If you have a ticket for the Jack Spong’s day conference at Carrs Lane Church in Birmingham, you will be contacted soon by the Carrs Lane organiser, Julie Grove.

*Jack Spong tickets can be swapped for any McLaren event except the London daytime sessions on Saturday October 8th or the Harrogate daytime sessions on Saturday October 15th.
