has a degree in Modern Languages and currently holds various posts, all part time: among these are helping schoolgirls whose native language is not English to take a GCSE or other qualification in that language, examining GCSE German, and being a non-stipendiary minister without a pastorate in the United Reformed Church. Before taking early retirement from full time teaching, she taught English in Germany and German in England. Interested in promoting radical, open, inclusive, thinking Christianity, she has been inspired and encouraged particularly by Martin Luther, Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Bishop Jack Spong, and is the convenor of the Leeds PCN group.
