Michael Wright is a former Anglican Priest, now a Quaker, and Chair of the
Middlesborough Council of Faiths and is keen on the idea of people finding it “more comfortable to explore new ways of being people of faith by beginning with a dual membership of something like the Quakers with their own base faith community – Anglican, Catholic, Free Church – or Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, or other faith tradition. A foot in two camps for a period, rather than a radical change, in which the faith tradition in which people have grown up is suddenly abandoned, helps many people to explore change and adjust to new perspectives.”
