East Shropshire Progressive Christianity brings together people from a great variety of backgrounds and from a wide geographical area. It is affiliated to PCN-Britain but you do not have to be a member of PCN to become a member of our group, indeed, you do not have to be a member of any other group or church at all.
Meetings are normally held on the last Monday of each month at St Mary’s Church Centre, High Street, Albrighton, Shropshire, WV7 3EQ . Refreshments are served from 7.00 pm and the meetings start at 7.30 pm. You reach the Centre by means of a drive through a hedge to the right of St Mary’s Church (looking at it from the road). It is behind the vicarage and there is parking available.
It is a warm and welcoming group, do come along.

A talk by a member of our group entitled “Marriage through the ages; the fables and facts”. It is to illustrate the real facts about the multiplicity of forms of marriage that have existed throughout time and the many different forms of marriage that still exist today. It will not be a gay/straight marriage argument but is intended to give people the ammunition to allow them to make up their own minds on this subject based on fact, not fiction. Do also look at John Churcher’s wonderful sermon on Same Sex Marriage on the http://www.permissiontospeak.org.uk website.
Monday 25 June
A discussion based on chapter 5 of “The Thoughtful Guide to Faith” by Tony Windross entitled “Thinking about the Creed” and how that relates to PCN-Britain’s Eight Points.
Monday 23 July
A look at the second part of a DVD on “What is Spirituality” being published by The Unitarians. We looked at the first part on 2 April and were so taken up by it that we only got half way through and we now look forward to the second half ! Questions it poses include “What gives meaning to your life ? “
Time and place for the meetings are as shown above.
