This is the annual conference of Free to Believe. Speakers will include the Rt. Rev. V. Gene Robinson, and the Rev. Dr. David Peel. Join us for these inspiring talks amid an open and progressive fellowship.
GENE ROBINSON, EPISCOPAL BISHOP OF NEW HAMPSHIRE, one of the few bishops to have to wear a bullet-proof vest after death threats. He is author of “In the Eye of the Storm.” His brief is to go through the basics of the Gospel.
DAVID PEEL will be talking about how the Bible can be a loving text. David was Moderator of the URC General Assembly in 2005-06 and Principal of Northern College from 1993 to 2003. He is currently minister of St. Andrew’s, Monkseaton and St. Cuthbert’s, and is author of Reforming Theology.
ELIZABETH GRAY-KING, Education for Ministry officer, United Reformed Church will be artist in residence
KATE COMPSTON, Author, poet, will be worship leader in residence.
